photography tools: helping hands

Are you a one-person or small photography team and have countless responsibilities during a shoot?

I FEEL YOUR PAIN

Shoot days can be very stressful when there are so many things you are in control of and you’re not working with a production team. This means you handle all tasks associated with equipment set up/ clean up, set designing, product/ prop styling, digitech, photography, creative direction, and retouching! If you’re like me, the thought of one person managing all of this ALWAYS makes me feel anxious right before a shoot (even though I’ve shot countless times).

With so many roles, minor details that make a big difference could be missed and the last thing you’d want to do is reshoot. Any tool that helps with efficiency and time management is GOLD. Recently, I purchased helping hands and used them for the first time. Let me tell you…. these are a game changer!! These helping hands allow you to station props and products from various angles. The best part is that once they’re in place, you can view the shot from a further angle and make minor adjustments without moving other objects.

Hope this post was helpful (:
